宝钢大厦项目基地位于广州东西塔与琶洲眼连线的延长线上，又处于珠江江畔绝佳企业自身形象展示区。所在的琶洲A 片区是位于总部办公区的核心位置，与周边建筑共同构筑了一个新的世界级明信片，拥有极为重要的城市视角：珠江对岸、 猎德大桥及广州塔；是企业展示自身形象的重要赛场；基地所处地理位置得天独厚， 拥有接近180°无遮挡江景视野。由于规划条件的限制，本项目建筑限高140 米，建筑师借鉴香榭丽舍大道的城市空间轴线关系，采用了开放式建筑形体， 保证了视线的连贯通畅。在空间的层次上，力求建筑在展现自身企业形象同时，能够对周边建筑群影响降到最低，体现出宝钢包容的企业文化，打造出企业之窗的建筑形象。

    在建筑设计中，如果想象力赋予建筑灵魂，那么精细化则赋予建筑生命。快速的城市建设不 可避免的造成建造的简单化和粗放化，粗略的工艺也会将建筑设计的效果大打折扣。迈恩希望通过精细化的设计，能够提高建筑建成的还原度。建筑师深刻的理解建筑的材料语言，熟悉施工工艺，用精细化的品质控制体系要保证建筑建成效果。在广州宝钢大厦的立面上，建筑师希望通过幕墙肌理的变化来表达建筑的地标形象。所以在设计中通过变化的单元幕墙，构成丰富的表皮肌理，从而生成一个形体简约但是形象又别致的建筑形象。

The architect profoundly understands the material language of the building, is familiar with the construction process, and uses a refined quality control system to ensure that the building is built. On the facade of Guangzhou Baosteel Mansion, the architect hopes to express the landmark image of the building through the changes in the texture of the curtain wall. Therefore, in the design, through the changing unit curtain wall, a rich skin texture is formed, thus creating a simple yet unique image of the building.
